Got my walking papers...

Discharged from the hospital this morning. Yay!  My pancreas is no longer trying to eat itself and the surrounding organs, though the inflammation will take a bit longer to calm down all the way. Not back to 100%, but much better. Just have to be uber careful about my diet, at least until I can have surgery and get that pesky gallbladder out for good. You know the symptoms are bad when the prospect of surgery is preferable...*sigh*

Enough of that. I decided to close my office tomorrow since I wasn't sure when I'd be released, so I won't have to go back to work 'til the 27th. I'm so grateful for the time to recuperate. As soon as I got home I got a shower (soooo good to be clean), snuggled up in my pjs (so much preferable to a hospital gown), loved on my puppy (who seems relieved to have me home) - not necessarily in that order. So glad to be home. :-) And thankfully the power company was very prompt in cutting up the tree and getting power restored.

All in all, plenty to be thankful for.

I'm so glad things are getting better. It's always better to be at home and in your own clothes and bed.

*hugs*

part 2!
DUDE.

I am so happy you are home and safe and on the road to health. That sounds truly awfully horrible. I feel like now wishing you a happy belated birthday lacks a lot, but I was thinking of you on your birthday with all that was going on, and wishing you the best--was out of town, and sort of discombobulated, but I am SO so sorry about all you've been through. I hope you get a lot of rest and pampering for the next few days, and get better and back on your feet very soon.

(wouldn't they let you wear your PJ's at the hospital? I suppose you didn't have anyone to take them to you, which sucks--but it sounds like someone took care of your puppy while you were away, which is very good. I hope you get settled back, and many gentle *hugs* to you!)
