In Honor of Spring

The chatter and scurry of scarlet and gold
Give way to the sullen mutterings of gray -
Mutable charcoal, ash and lead.
The hushed whisper of violet and mauve temper
The chill of rattling and scratching ochre,
The implacable sigh of icy blue.

A verdant cacophony lies dormant,
Half-forgotten under crackling shades of frost.

A lovely little verse...I feel as if I'm waiting for it all to burst into colour! And funnily enough on our first day of Spring the weather has been fab...despite it snowing on Sunday!

Thanks for reading! It seems like spring always takes me by surprise somehow. Glad the weather's good!

Spring of the green and blues
All in a variety of hues,
And I'm just talking about my sinus infection!

Sorry, I suck at 'real' poetry =)

Umm..eww! XD I hope your sinuses are better. I know allergies can make spring pretty miserable, but I must admit I'm glad to see the end of winter!
