I had a bit of an epiphany today regarding my priorities in life.

I will put off going to the grocery store for weeks.  Literally.  No milk, no bread, no Cheez-its or soda.  (Over the past few years I have been trying to prove the hypothesis that man can live by Cheez-its alone... but that's neither here nor there) The only thing that will compel me to go the store is if I run out of a) dog food, b) toilet tissue, or c) deodorant.  These, it seems, are the only true necessities of my life... or so I thought.

Last night I knocked my laptop off of the coffee table and my wireless adapter broke.  I put it back together and tried everything to get it to work.  I felt a little panicky, actually.   I had to reassure myself that I could get a new one and go to bed.  Today I could not bring myself to come home from work until I had gone to Staples and bought a new wireless adapter.  Evidently internet access is more important to me than sustenance.  Should I find that disturbing?

Thanks for your sympathy (moment of silence for the departed adapter...) :-P

... and hello to you!

I'm with you every step of the way! I could live on Cheesy Wotsits (and/or Quavers) which I presume are the UK version of Cheez-its! Of course I don't...but I could and would if my husband didn't need feeding as well! And not forgetting coffee, even the de-caff that I pretend is real!

But if my computer breaks...

Rest assured you are not alone...I know of others, too...and that must be comforting! ^_^

Ah, coffee - sweet nectar of life!

The prospect of no internet is indeed bleak. I'm glad I'm not the only one... :-D
