A little nonsense now and then...

Shamelessly stolen from verizonhorizon.

A TNG meme of sorts.  I just thought the questions were fun.

Picard: Are there any subjects you’ve made an effort to learn about despite no obvious relevance to your daily life?
Too many!  I have too many interests and too little time.  There was that time I learned Latin for fun in high school, those ornithology classes I took in undergrad, the textbooks about the Spanish American War I bought to read in my "free time"... My most recent effort has been learning German for the hell of it.

Riker: Have you or would you ever turn down a promotion if it meant moving somewhere new?
I haven't and I doubt I would unless it was somewhere ridiculous like a war zone or the Antarctic. There are places I'd be much more inclined to live in than others, though.

Deanna Troi: Do you have someone you can carry on full conversations with without actually talking?
I have had nonverbal conversations with several people. Probably the most consistent would be my dad. Sometimes we'll just sit on the phone silently. It's actually kinda funny. I don't know if it's that we communicate silently or we don't feel the need to fill the silences.  We get each other that way.

Lwaxana Troi: Who is your celebrity crush?
IDK.  I can't pick just one....

Beverly Crusher: Have you ever broken a bone?
No. When I was a little girl I decided that I wanted to die with all my organs and all my bones intact (weird, I know). At least all my bones are in original condition...

Wesley Crusher: What is one thing you were really good at as a kid?
I was such a nerdy kid.  What am I saying? I'm still nerdy! But I was always reading. I got the nickname Encyclopedia. I was probably about as annoying as Wesley Crusher....

Data: What is one thing about humanity that baffles you?
One thing? Okay, okay... The illogic of wanting to have your cake and eat it too.  People want all the choices and none of the consequences and they get mad when they can't have it their way.  It's crazy!  Life is full of compromise, choosing the lesser of two evils, picking your poison.  There are pros and cons in everything.  Why are people shocked when that's the case?  Baffling, indeed.

Geordi: How are you at fixing things?
I'm kinda handy, depending on what it is. I'm not getting under the hood of my car anytime soon, but I can do household repairs and stuff if it's not too involved.

Worf: Do you have any martial arts training?
That'd be a negative, ghost rider. Unless yoga counts...:-P

Guinan: Do people tend to come to you for advice?
Yes. I mean it's kinda part of my job.

Tasha: If you knew it would prevent a catastrophe or end a war, would you ever willingly sacrifice your own life?
I'd like to think that I would.  I suppose we all would prefer to see ourselves as heroic.  But I don't know. I really don't.

Barclay: What would you do if you had access to a Holodeck?
So many things! Visit ancient civilizations, interact with famous figures real and fictional, create the perfect retreat.  The possibilities are limitless!  Well, I guess there are parameters within which the Holodeck operates that would preclude the possibilities from being truly limitless, but you know what I mean.

Q: If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
I would definitely want the ability to manipulate time.  Imagine how much time you'd have if you could freeze it? I'd also want to be able to manipulate space in order to travel instantaneously. *sigh* If only... I'd never be late, never have to navigate treacherous roads, have time to read all the books...
